Oh, that's not a bad alternative at all. Better than "see your pixels," which I think is a bit twee unless one has the I'm-not-sure-what to pull it off. I think about the phrasing a lot, but usually just default to "hear from you" while muttering inaudibly about idioms and metaphors and sometimes even metonymy.
