I think choosing medication over difficult regimentation is entirely sane, and am glad your doctor thinks so too. I'm very glad your number is coming down with easy enough changes. I hope to report the same soon.

And yes, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the stress of that job played a part in the creeping upwards.
