Thank you. I was really dragging my feet, but I looked up ankle problems, and I had one of the possible symptoms of a break. It usually occurs in conjunction with a bunch of other problems I didn't have, but that is what decided me. I have adjusted the boot differently and it's not as bad, but now of course I'm concerned that it isn't actually working right.

The cats will probably get used to it just about the time I can get rid of it.

I'm new to this clinic and their protocols are a bit different from the previous one, but it's generally the case that they bring you some paperwork describing your visit and any actions or followup you need to take, and they hadn't. The doctor had said he'd be reading the X-ray the following day, but I guess they got to him more promptly than he expected.
