It's a duplex with two three-bedroom apartments -- the third bedroom in each is a sunroom, and very small, but it has a minute closet and a door that closes and, certainly windows to escape through in case of a fire, so legally it's a bedroom. There are four of us and we each needed a bedroom and some kind of study. We had to build a room for David in the basement eventually, because we wanted a guest room, and, of course, six divided by four is not two.

The garden has gone entirely feral, but it is very pretty.

I gather that not everybody's short stories do that, but mine always have ambitions.
