Terrible GERD is pretty terrible too. The dementia research sounds preliminary to me, but the bone stuff has been kicked around for much longer and it's obviously percolated down to actual practice. So if Pepcid does work, yeah, it might be as well to switch to it.
I used to give Pepcid to my elderly cat. He didn't like it.
