Oh no! I'm glad you got that X-ray, but the boot sounds like a pain. And yes, as someone who hopped around with a broken ankle and didn't get treatment for 3 days, I agree that adding a boot (or plaster, in my case) feels MUCH WORSE and makes you much clumsier than having it free range. It's the weight, I think. But it is necessary, alas.
