I am experiencing that "age range of friends" in the opposite way: as a 42yo with no relevant preexisting conditions and a job that positively glories in me staying in the house, I will be vaccinated absolute last...but I get to see my friends starting to cascade into serious numbers of them vaccinated, and that's so lovely.
I had been going on the general adulthood feeling that once you're past 25 or so, 3-4 years age difference is "the same age," and this has exploded that completely. One of our mutual friends is "the same age" as you and just in that 3-4 year age difference where...nope. So I had that rug pulled out from under me. But on the whole, still seeing many friends vaccinated, yay.
