papersky says that I am St. Nicholas-at-Wade. No stupid questions with inadequate choices for answers, no conflating of separate things, no wrong definitions or bad assumptions. Just ask and it shall be given.

I have to say, I was reminded very strongly of Arry's village in The Dubious Hills, should technology have propelled it into the nineteenth century or so. There are reasons for this other than the perspicacity of papersky, but I'm still impressed.

I wonder if the tulips are up there. My red ones are now sprouting, and there is even some green on the leaves. I'm also seeing day-lilies and the rosettes of dame's rocket. The motherwort is curiously slow in putting in an appearance.

After a very disconcerting couple of scenes where nobody said anything, characters have reverted to not shutting up. I should be careful what I ask for.
