Has anybody reading this ever stuffed an empty Kleenex box with bubble wrap, wedged it into the space between the window air conditioner and the side of the window, and plastered it in place with packing tape, to prevent a determined squirrel from gaining entry?

No, but when the city and condo board let me raise the stoop and put a concrete ramp up to it (replacing two wooden ramps), my upstairs neighbor and I had to stay inside for the first day so the concrete would set. When I opened the door to go out the next day, I found a couple of jumps-worth of indented squirrel-feet prints. Some people don't like it, but I think they're cute.
