Catherine Lundoff is holding a fundraiser for the better conservation of wolves, here. Catherine is the author of numerous short stories, the editor of several anthologies, and most recently, the author of Silver Moon, a fast-moving novel about menopause and werewolves. I have only read a handful of her stories, plus the novel, but I always like the abundance of female characters and the deft humor and pacing of her work.

This isn't an auction where you bid on offerings; rather, if you donate to either of the organizations she mentions (our own International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota, or the Defenders of Wildlife's Campaign to Save America's Wolves), and send her a copy of the confirmation email, you'll be entered in a drawing for various prizes, among them two paperback copies of The Dubious Hills. You can also win a copy of Silver Moon, which I would consider a more than sufficient incentive. The offered prizes are all about wolves or shape-shifters, and it's a very good cause.

She is still accepting donations, so the pool of prizes can only grow between now and the end of the contest.

I know a lot of people are very short of money, but if you aren't, do check it out.

Pamela

ETA: Edited to remove extraneous apostrophe. I'd blame werewolves, but it's unfortunately more like to be menopause.
