I keep my tax documents in plastic bags now, since I never seem to acquire paper ones of the right size anymore. In any case ,I don't find the bags thing weird, it just means we use things we have on hand to organize things rather than buy special organization receptacles that will just add more clutter. I also sort documents on my bed. It means I have yearly photos of the cat "helping with the taxes" up until the cat became too arthritic to get up on the bed herself.
