This is pretty terrible. I've been writing posts in my head for months but never actually typing them in, and now I'm here to promote a book with a story of mine in it, which seems very crass and inconsiderate. However, I think some of you might be interested.

Here is what I posted on Patreon just now:

Okay, Her Magical Pet is live on Amazon! It’s a Kindle Unlimited book and should also be available as an Amazon paperback, though I’m not sure when. I’ll put up another post when I know. Here’s the link. I really just want to curl up with all the other stories, but I have a bunch of stuff to do first. They sound great, though, and I know some of the writers and their work.

My story is a novelette set in Liavek whose protagonist is Dri, the protagonist of the short story “Cousins” that was published in 2007 in Sharyn November’s anthology Firebirds Rising. In addition to a romance, it contains a cat and a theatrical produxrion.

While I’m here, here is the link for the companion anthology, which also has some great writers in it:

His Magical Pet

All of the proceeds from both anthologies go to Outright Action International.

havocthecat: a pre-raphaelite is reading (pre-raphaelite reading)

I will be 100% honest with you, I have four categories of posts: Mental posts I write, but don't make; actual posts I write, but make private for some reason or another (those ones are too whiny, or too much about terrible things I don't want to inflict on everyone); actual posts I write and then delete for some reason or another (either the same as the prior category or sometimes I let them sit too long and delete them by accident if I close the browser); and the ones that make it onto my Dreamwidth.

So, as you can see, I can't lack understanding of anyone for mentally composing posts and not making them! This is just such a weird year.

As [personal profile] jenett said, "goal I didn't know I had." She's a delightful person, as are you! I'm so excited for this anthology. I ordered the paperback to give it pride of place on one of my many, many bookcases.
