We usually just buy frozen pies, or at the very least frozen pie crust. Fresh made is better, but not enough better (IMHO) to be worth even the low-level trials and tribulations of getting flour all over everything, much less what you had to go through. I admire your dedication.
Huh. Okay, that makes TWO people who love mince pie. Not only love it, but love it so much that they sulk if they don't get it. David is lucky to have someone to make it for him, because it is practically impossible to buy one anywhere (probably because there are only two people in the whole country that like it. It's probably more popular in England.)
