That was a great deal of persistence in the face of adversity! I commend your patience.
Pie crust is one of those things I think about but I've never had luck with. I'm not the happiest with the frozen/refrigerated ones, but homemade always turns into such a wreck that I don't have other options. Pecan pie deserves a nice crust.
