I'm reading at Minicon

I'll be reading from either my newly-completed short story, my novel-in-progress, or both, at Minicon, at 7:00 pm on Saturday. This is not in the programming schedule, because of some kind of mixup (in which I am likely complicit, since I didn't formally say I wanted to do a reading until, like, yesterday), but I'll be doing it. Against the Art Auction, but such is life. If you're coming to Minicon and don't like auctions (or panels on movie-making, the other programming item at that time), I offer you an alternative.

Edited to Add: There will be refreshments! Because mrissa will be bringing bars! This is very consoling, because the reading conflicts with the first hour of the LJ party. But if there are bars, it is a party, that's all.

I tend to bury my face in my manuscript, so it won't mess me up if you make any kind of face at all. It might distract your fellow listeners. Maybe you could contrive to make them laugh at the funny bits even if they would not have done so? But that's probably a bit much to ask.

I'm not really that good at it, alas. Now, Kara Dalkey can do all the voices so a listener can distinguish, and Mike Ford is unsurpassed at all aspects of reading, but I'm lucky to get a clear voice and not rush it and mumble.

I'd love to meet you, though.

okay, now i am really really sorry that i couldn't go to minicon.

i did go to an easter vigil service, however. not quite the same thing at all.

i have not hugged you in more than a year--that's got to be fixed somehow.
