Yellow crocus
Apr. 11th, 2005 02:02 pmThe first crocuses are blooming. I always forget about them. They are the tiny, tiny snow crocuses, in very pale yellow. They pop up in the weedy sapling-infested rose bed amidst the soggy blown-in potato-chip bags every year. The next ones will be a blue so pale it is almost white, and then the gold and purple ones will show up.
Eric is coming to visit on Thursday, for a week and a day, which after six months is not remotely long enough, but it does look as if he will have a very good and fast-changing spring week to remind him that he actually does like Minneapolis.
I still have some intention of writing a report on Minicon.

Date: 2005-04-11 07:59 pm (UTC)Usually we manage a long visit every three months, but financial and other considerations (his mother broke her shoulder in January and he's been her primary caretaker) have caused us to put off our plans repeatedly.
Long distance is still rotten, whether the separation is one month or six.

Date: 2005-04-19 01:31 am (UTC)(I wanted to see what was up in your garden, but I see you're busy. I'll just look at the crocuses.
See my star flowers? I guess that's what they are. They look like stars, anyway.)
