pameladean: Tor cover of my novel The Dubious Hills (The Dubious Hills)

Some long-time acquaintances of mine in the local fannish community are facing foreclosure on their house. This is an even worse situation than a normal foreclosure, because Ericka is disabled with multiple illnesses, and the house is very precisely tailored to her requirements. Starting over would be difficult and heartrending.

The community [livejournal.com profile] accessiblehouse has been set up to help Peter and Ericka out. You can read more about their situation there.

I have just put two hardcover copies of The Dubious Hills up for auction. Here's that entry:

Just in case anybody is interested.

Thanks. Now back to Zeno's Manuscript.

Oh... I wanted one of the books, but I can't fly as high as that. I donated, though - and that's because you drew my attention to the situation again so that I went and actually looked at the profile page with the donate button. So not only have you put in your own contribution, in a way, you've also put in mine.

By definition, they're going to people who want them. It's just that the selection of which people is based on how much they're willing (and able) to pay, rather than some other criterion.
