Auction to benefit Reesa Brown

From now until May 15th, you can bid on a variety of things, with the emphasis on fiber arts (including spinning and knitting lessons; not to mention custom-made socks by our own aedifica), and a good sprinkling of books, original artwork, jewellery, and so on. The proceeds of this auction will go to help pay for the medical expenses of the awesome Reesa Brown, who recently had surgery for breast cancer.

I thought it was only for fiber arts and didn't get anything in in time, but there's a great deal of really beautiful yarn as well as the items mentioned above. If you're a fan of Steven Brust's works and are not already aware of this event, note that he's got some books and CD's in there as well.

Hi! I only heard about this today, too, so it's too late for me to donate an item for bid, and I'm not in a position to buy anything.

It occurs to me that this would be a good time for the auctioneers to remind people that they can also help out by buying items from the Adrilankha gift shop (http://www.cafepress.com/dragaera), where there are many cool things available for those who don't find something they like in the auction. These include t-shirts and totes with my portrait of SKZBrust (donated earlier) and 'Shut up Loiosh' and other favorite quotes likewise printed on items including t-shirts, totes, klava mugs and buttons.

As I'm not in contact with the principals, perhaps you would pass the suggestion along?
