After a nightmarish four years wrestling with Bank of America, and after believing she had successfully obtained a mortgage modification that would allow her to keep her house, Vera Nazarian is being foreclosed on and is moving across the country. She needs to sell books to finance the move and other expenses. Here is the link to her discussion of the issues, and a series of links to Norilana Press broken down by category, in case, like me, you are easily bewildered. There's a huge number of titles, in ebook format as well as hardcover and paperback. Please do what you can.

Edited to add the LINK:

Sorry. Sheesh. Thanks to commenters who caught my omission.

I am not seeing the links, but I'm going to hit up Google. That is one of the crappiest things that can happen to anyone. I have many small, pointed words for banks like that one.

We're of the same mind on the subject, then. I tend to think that transparency would serve many more of us well, if we chose to embrace it; some secrets must be kept, but I don't extend that courtesy to corporations like Bank of America, whose reputation can hardly suffer from disclosing its practices to its customers.

Sounds like BoA is on its way to be the next banking industry crash-and-burn. No help for folks like Vera, but still, I hope all their execs and directors end up standing on the traffic islands at intersections holding signs reading, "Will work for anything that holds out a possibility of not going straight to Hell."

I don't think the responsible parties should be sent to a country club 'prison' a la Bernie Madoff. Hellz noe. Put 'em in an orange jumpsuit and make'em do the Perp Walk down Wall Street

Thanks for spreading the word. I haven't read most of those titles, but I adored a Posse of Princesses. I think I'll get a copy for a couple of friends. It's great if you haven't tried it.
