I used to live in Massachusetts --
May. 17th, 2004 12:29 pm-- and I didn't really like it much. But I wouldn't mind being there today, where, starting at midnight, same-sex couples are being legally married in droves. Suppressing a lot of incipient neenering and sticking-out-of-tongues in the direction of the people who didn't want this to happen, I offer my delight and best wishes to everybody getting married who couldn't have done it yesterday. May you be able to continue in peace.

Whu?
There were only about 15 Phelpsians, really. It made me grin to see them SO OUTNUMBERED.

This is wonderful news
Date: 2004-05-17 04:35 pm (UTC)I'm not even concerned about the protestors. I'm just thankful that the courts are not listening to a very vocal group and are instead paying attention the rights of individuals. Well done, Massachusetts!
