TV Bookshelf Interview

I should have posted this sooner, but I haven't had the courage to watch it. Mind, I enjoyed the actual interview very much, because it's always a pleasure to talk to David Lenander. But watching it, that's something else.

1. This is a Windows Quicktime file, and at least on my somewhat cranky computer, it took about twenty minutes to download.

Yes, you should have posted about it earlier, because I would have liked to have seen it.

Now that I have seen it, I can say that your demeanor is more than fine.

There is some problem with the audio where your voice is much louder than the host's -- it's sometimes a little hard to hear the questions. That's hardly your fault though.

They were using a different studio than usual -- I think because of fumigation in the building, but I'm not sure -- and David did have a bad mike. I gather it was much worse before some tinkering was done. I had been willing to redo the interview, but wouldn't have been able to schedule the time for a while.

Pamela, I just found this an hour ago, and what an absolute treat to see and hear you talk about your books and your writing and what influenced you...how elegant you are, and how graceful.

David Lenander is a very good interviewer, and really on top of the material; that helps with the articulation amazingly.

and you worked the word "hubristic" into conversation naturally! :D
