Since people have so kindly expressed so much interest, I thought I would mention that the Firebird edition of Tam Lin is scheduled to be released in August of this year. It's already up on Amazon, and available for pre-ordering. It's also up on the Barnes and Noble site, and since the larger cover image there is somewhat better, at least on my computer, than the one at Amazon, I provide this link for the curious. Carleton people should look carefully at the building in the background.

And so well timed, too; the tape is coming loose again.

Yay! My Tor copy is starting to fall apart. (I think I like that cover better, though, so the Firebird one might become the reading copy.)

I love that cover, though I'm still partial to the Thomas Canty one. :>
I look forward to the chance to sing this book's glories once again.

You might also mention the story you have in the second Firebirds anthology. (Which I know about by looking at the title page, because I insisted on ordering it here.)

I will have to remember to add Tam Lin to our first order next school year, as well as acquiring it for presents for people :)

I love the Canty cover too, but that's a really nice one.

Too dark.

I don't like the Canty cover either, I find it soppy and bland.

Never mind, it's the words that count, and they're terrific.

Oh, wonderful! It's coming out just in time for me to take it to college with me. Tam Lin was the first of your books that I read, and I used it as a topic for my main college admissions essay.

Thank you for your wonderful writing, and please don't stop!

Yay... I will finally have a back-up copy. Not that I will ever give up my first copy, but after 20 some re-reads, it's beginning to disintegrate, even being completed wrapped up in clear mailing tape.

ooh! That's much better than the new cover art for Fire and Hemlock! (Which is to say, it's not bad and over time I think I'll come to like it as well as the Canty cover.)

Happy happy joy joy! This is one of a _very_ few books I've bought just to give away! Gave one to my favorite lit professor at another MIAC college I attended. When you were at Carleton, did you guys cheer "We got girls, yes we do, we got girls, how 'bout you?" when you played the Tommies?

The Thomas Canty cover will always be my favourite, but I like this cover because it captures one of my favourite scenes from the book :)

YAY!!! I can't wait!

The cover is a bit more close-up--and green! o.O (faerie lights, indeed!)--than I had imagined, but I still like the overall effect. ^_^ And I think the artist captured Medeous perfectly--the sharp features, the hair, the contrasting red and black....

*Counting on fingers* I'll need a copy to read, a copy to loan out and a copy to squirrel away against disasters. Maybe two copies to squireel away, as I know to my sorrow that a loaner may not find its way home.

In other words, huzzah.

I came to visit you, to see what's up, and found all sorts of interesting things, so I'm starting here.

At last, a Tam Lin for me, instead of a library book! Yippee!

And congratulations. May lots of new readers find this wonderful book in August!

Hardcovers? Ever?

I'm in the middle of another reread of Tam Lin. Yesterday, I missed my stop on the train because of it. Today, I almost did it again. I'm so in love with this book.

Is there any chance that Tam Lin and the Secret Country trilogy might ever be issued in hardcover?

I'm not sure how to sigh wistfully in a blog comment. A shortcoming, for certain.
